I'm a size 10, but I look like the 12. I lost so much weight and didnt tone, and I'm also pear shaped. I think I look awesome!

I wish I was a 00. My ears are haha. But I'm with ya. I'm a size 1 and I don't feel like I look smaller than her at all. I'm 5'8" as well.
Quoting Jas ♥:" I can't figure how she wears an 8 either. I use to be her size before I had kids and was in a 00 or a 1."
Here is a pic of me, pre kids.
I was actually 3 months pregnant here but still wearing regular clothes, so size 00
my jeans are all a size 10... that's what size I am. I'm 5'5". I think I look bigger, but I guess because I'm shorter?
none of them look fat to me. Depends on your body shape and body build.

You look really good.
I cant see how you are in a 10 while my pic above is 00. imo, we look essentially the same size.

Thanks. lol. I just lost over 100 lbs too, but I definitely looked the size I was. I have a lot of loose skin and such too right now. And my hips are just gigantic. You're also much taller too though. I'm so short lol
That first girl does not look size 8...I'm a size 3 and my stomach looks similar size.

My gosh, you are gorgeous!
Wow, thank you! I think I lean meeeeean in that pic. he he
It also depends on your butt! you can weigh the same as the girl next to you, however your butt and legs could be thicker than hers and you will wear a bigger size.

Lol. Just classic beauty. :)
Each person has their own idea as to what body type looks better. I don't have a particular guideline that I set when looking at someone to say "she is fat". Some girls look great with more weight on their frames. For me personally, I feel for my specific body type, I look better smaller but toned, I think feminine muscular look is beautiful! I like the way I look now, but will be more pleased once even more definition and muscle tone starts to show.
I think all three women in the pic look great. The third ones weight may not look good on the first one and vice versa. Each person is different. I like the first one because she is fit and has tone but still very feminine. Plus there is no way of knowing if the said sizes are actually their sizes. I have seen this pic before, but different pant sizes were listed.
Not a single person is truly fat, they HAVE fat, and every single person on the planet has it. When someone hits 100% body fat then they have permission to label themselves as fat. I hate seeing people hate themselves because of their weight. Change it if you don't like it, accept it if you don't want to change, but don't hate yourself!
It is really all about perception. The girl on the right has more fat than the other girls, but since she still fits into the societal view of sexy, many will not label her as fat. That has a lot to do with the stigma attached to the word fat. Fat is just a descriptive term but all the other stuff attached to the word is what gives it a negative connotation. Fat is linked with being a slob, lazy, gross, stinky, etc and since the girl doesn't look like any of those things, she will not be labeled as fat.
The people who know me personally will object if the term fat is used to reference me, and I am obviously fat. I wear, on average, a size 20... sometimes higher, sometimes lower. They aren't rejecting my size, but the other things that the word fat means in our society.
I would postulate that the girls who say that the size 10 is fat is because they have a different perception of what fat is. Perhaps a fat phobic viewpoint. They may look at her and think, "If I was that size, I would feel fat."
