Exactly. My kids are in bed at nine and when I go out, we don't even leave until then.

Honestly, some grandparents WANT to watch their grandkids and if I lived closer to my family, damn straight I would be going out as often as my mom wanted to watch them.

The constant need to go out. I just said that it is normal to get out once a week or whatever, but the constant need...like you cannot live a weekend at home, always out and never with your kids. It does not need to be something extreme, but these are people who are out constantly and put going out above their kids that I am talking about. Date nights, hanging out with friends that is normal but the people who HAVE to go out every single weekend and cannot handle staying at home with their kids, than yes I see problems in that.

I was never a party person, but I can imagine having a screaming toddler or colicky baby would make anyone want to go out and get wasted. 8)
