Quoting proudlypreggers:" I get what you are saying but my question is how long do you wait until they are ready before you introduce ... [snip!] ... they know that may be all they are going to do. Not every child is going to show signs, SOME you have to show and theyll do."

I think introducing them to a potty is essential, yea. mine has always enjoyed watching me go lmfao so it's always been around for him. Like I've already said, I don't know any child w/out special needs at age 5 even who isn't PTed, so I don't know anyone at age 6-7+ either. Lol. It really isn't a big deal.

Quoting proudlypreggers:" This is what i have been saying. Some moms wont even introduce it to their children. Some moms like ... [snip!] ... tbh some are, im just saying there are certain steps that you can take along with your child to help them become ready."

It'd be hard for a child to not be introduced to a toilet, I men they're everywhere. lol. Idk anyone that would try & PT their child w/out at least telling them the function of a potty, lmao

<blockquote><b>Quoting proudlypreggers:</b>" Everyone is judgemental including yourself so please save the im judgemental bs. People judged me for ... [snip!] ... yourself... Also ive stated on numerous occasions i was referring to the average child (meaning no special/mental needs)"</blockquote>

YOUR COMPARISON WAS TERRIBLE! And they aren't special/mental needs. Fucktard they are special needs. Special needs encompasses everything. My child is special needs but is well above average in his thinking and understanding, He's not mental.. he has physical special needs. Back to the point, special needs.

And my our DS potty trained himself. Sure I had been introducing/showing it to him. But he didn't go and know when to go until he was ready. He PT'd himself literally overnight. No more diapers in 2 weeks because it took him a few days to grasp pooping on the potty. It was him wanting and trying. The ah ha moment happened a few days after he turned 3.

Oh and we had a singing potty. Annoying as f**k. And it didn't help. In fact he hated it. So.....

And nice back peddling. Kids are exposed to the toilet and getting prepared even when you're not explaining everything point for point. It's a natural function and kids are smart.

exactly to your last point. even if a parent doesn't say jack shit about potty training, children are observant & can clearly see whenever someone has to use the restroom, in the home & in public.

Lol at you having to call me names to get your point across. Try again that type stuff never affects me. Also how is it a horrible comparison it still involves learning either way and to insinuate that every child is smart and will know shows your intelligence bc that is far from the truth. SOME children have to be shown and trained, which is why the word consists of train. Not learn on your own.

Quoting ♡Sarah♡ + 2:" My son will be 5 in Jan and *gasp* he isnt pt'd yet either."

Gavin will be 5 in March and isnt pt'd. He is no where near. He goes into hysterics when he is put on the potty chair (he is still routinely put on it at school and it hasn't calmed him down.)
