has anyone ever tried the "Baking Soda gender prediction" thing?

Has it been right or wrong?

(Yes, I know nothing is 100% until the baby is born but I think it's always fun to see what methods say what)

I've not done it & to me it seems pointless because of course it's going to fizz up if your urine is acidic (like maybe if you ate something acidic or whatever?). I guess it depends on the pH of your urine, which I dunno if that actually changes due to the baby's gender.

It worked for me when everything else had indicated I was having a boy.

I also did it several times and it never fizzed.

One of my co-workers said that's how her mom found out the sex of all her kids.. and it was right all 8 times.
I haven't tried, but I think it'd be pretty cool to try just to see what it says.
Everything else says I am having a girl.. (I haven't had U/S yet though)
but all other old wives tales. I like finding things like this to keep myself busy with.

I did the baking soda test, the drano test, the cabbage test, ring on a string and the chinese gender predictor. Every single one said girl.

You put baking soda in a cup with your urine. If it fizzes, it's a boy. If nothing happens, girl.

What you do is put a little bit of baking soda in the bottom of a disposable cup and then add a little bit of your urine to it. If it fizzles like a soda pop, it may be a boy. If there

You take a disposable cup, fill it with just enough baking soda to cover the bottom.
You can either pee straight into the cup, or pee in another cup and slowly pour it in the cup with the baking soda.
If it fizzes it's a boy, if it does nothing it's a girl.

Old wives tale.
