f**k the BMI scale. If I didn't have giant b**bs I'd weigh a lot less too.
Quoting MommaLBear:" My BMI is 35.4, which puts me in the obese catorgory. Which just kind of bummed me out. I have a flabby ... [snip!] ... Right now, I'd consider myself overweight if anything. If I posted a picture, would some of you ladies give me feedback?"
What sort of feedback do you want? BMI isn't perfect at all, it doesn't take into account muscle or build at all. 25.1 was barely overweight.
I wouldn't take that too seriously. If you want to lose weight, then do so. Go by how you feel rather then the BMI number.
I don't think that online calculations of BMI are correct. Mine says I'm obese too..I'm like WTF...my mom...now THAT'S OBESE! lol
My BMI has always been high.
That thing really knows how to make women feel like crap.
Post those pics mama!
I feel ya! I am still in the obese category by .1 I think lol I'm 5'6 and am 186 lbs but I really don't look that bad :( def not obese lol
BMI is so utterly ridiculous. It always put my DH in the obese category because he was buff/muscular and a thicker guy. I was technically "underweight" by BMI standards, when I still had a little bit of fat on me (no i wont say I was fat or anywhere enar it because people get so mad, but i wasnt "perfect" ya know)
Body structure makes a HUGE difference...along with many other factors.
My BMI is 33 and change. I am not flabby. I'm tall and have a bigger build.
Alright, well I'm glad to hear that bmi is just an a*****e lol.
Missed it ):
It told my husband that he was overweight at 5'10 160 lbs. I don't take it that seriously. My BMI is like 26. Prepregnancy was like 22.
The BMI scale doesn't apply once you have kids is what my doctor told me. He said you have wiggle room and it isn't exactly correct.
