We've been together for 12 years, married for 5 years....we are still in the "Honeymoon Stage".
It takes work, communication and trust....but it is possible to still have that love and affection years and years down the road.
I know how you feel!! My fianc
They're telling you it's going to change because for a lot of people it does. I'm still very much in the honeymoon stage with SO (even after 2 years) but he says he doesn't wanna look like a teenager when I try to hold his hand or kiss him in public. :P
Just be happy that you've got what you've got and don't let other people's opinions about it spoil it. Maybe they are jealous.
Most relationships do calm down a little. Not saying that you will get to the point where you "hate" each other, but at some point there is a change. My SO and I didn't really have a change until after our son was born. We still love each other as much if not more than we did before but we just don't have the same time that we use to. We still kiss and say I love you and such but it's just a little calmer. I hope that your relationship stays like that for as long as possible, but don't be surprised if after certain life events some things do change.
his mom gives me the stink eye and tries to sit close to dh.
when dh and i kiss, just a peck she looks at us all crazy. lol
also when he sits close to me and holds my hand she looks at our hands and then looks at me and she has this angry look on her.
-- i know that she doesn't really like me because she told me i took her son away from her. lol
I hear that ALL the time when DH and I are anywhere..
His mom b***hes at me when I call him honey or hon.. because "his name is Bill not honey"
Idk, SO and I have been together for 6 years we still hold hands almost all the time, kiss a lot, we say I love you A LOT, and we cuddle a lot. Everyone who's ever said anything is always saying how cute we still are after 6 years *shrug*. I'm sure it gets annoying, you just gotta ignore people.
SO and I have been together for almost 5 years and we still hold hands, cuddle on the couch and all of that fun stuff. Nothing 'honeymoon phase' about it. We've been through hell together, we're expecting our second child and we are still very much in love. We're not cheesy about it, we just don't feel the need to hide how we feel about each other.
SOs mum thinks that's gross too.
I've been with SO nearly 4 years and we are still in the honeymoon phase I guess lol kissing and hugging and holding hands. I think SOs mum doesn't like it because her and her husband have been together about the same amount of time, only been married for one year and are definitely not like that. Which makes me kinda sad for her.
Just enjoy your relationship and ignore everyone else, who cares! I would kill for my husband to be lovie dovie

I just ignore her along with everyone else.
Be jealous my husband and I still are head over heels in love with one another.
If you don't like it close your eyes or ears.
His aunt actually went off on me on vacation this past month because my husbands best friend came with us and I rubbed sun block on his back...apparently I committed adultery right there.
So we ran with it...and pissed her off the WHOLE week. Dh thought it was hilarious.
