Quoting ~**germaphobic**~:" <blockquote><b>Quoting drunk faith1:</b>" I love the itti bitti's. They're soooooooooooo ... [snip!] ... "</blockquote> Those look soo nice!! How do you go about washing them?? And are the waterproof.?? I'm so curious now."

I just wash them with my diapers. I rinse them first, then toss them in the pail with diapers until wash day. These ones have a fleece backing, so I'd consider them water 'resistant'. I tested them with 3 layers of flannel and 1 layer of fleece (I'd consider them liners. I don't have a heavy flow and don't need anything more absorbent) and they held up to 15 ml of water before they started leaking.

faith: Those look amazing for a first time! That's an interesting pattern too... I think I like it better than the ones I make... curves suck. lol

That urban sprout diaper is so interesting. I never saw anything like it... well I guess I lie. The Quick Snap Flap Wrap is similar but not quite like that... how neat!

I need to talk to you about a possible soap or something another giveaway/review... but not until I get back to the beach the 10th.

Quoting {tamz}:" I have a question for you ladies. I'm trying to sell diapers for cash we badly need. I noticed Applecheeks ... [snip!] ... be best? TIA :D (I would've posted in the swap but I was looking for advice from all the fine ladies who use cloth here!)"

I'd try ebay first and list them for just a few dollars cheaper than whatever the cheapest one is. Even a dollar cheaper would make the sale for someone looking for the best bargain. :) GL selling!

Quoting Freya D:" I just dont have the extra money to spend on diapers if they were to delaminate, so a baby them. I also plan on using them on the next kid. "

Oh I get that! I am in the SAME boat, very broke and will be using them on the next kid, but the instructions say wash HOT, so I think I should be ok.

I tried a pattern with curves (there are a few of them there, they suck) and it was so much harder to do and the fit was no better than the straight ones. I drafted my own pattern and I like it better than the few I found online.

That diaper was really unique. I hadn't seen anything like it when I found that WAHM. I've seen something called a 'daddy flat' since, but it didn't have elastic, just cuts and snaps. I've also found some patterns online for making similar things, but I haven't seen any WAHMs currently making them. Just women who used to but have retired.

And yeah, feel free to get ahold of me when you get back. I'll be taking a break in July for about two weeks where I won't be doing any reviews/giveaways, but other than that I'm pretty open.

Thanks. I'm so eBay challenged, but I think it's the best option too. Just wasn't sure if I was forgetting somewhere to sell it.

faith: Ah yeah. I've seen both and made one with curves. I may change the pattern after I learn to use my serger better.

These are mine:

I wish I had more time to see cause I'm a fabric fiend. I am addicted to the remnants. I just finally bought the girls' 4th of July material too for their dresses. Could be something I make and sell for next te if I get the fabric all on clearance after the holiday haha

Those are cute. I want more fabrics to make more pretties. I really love my pattern, though. I feel like I should get super good at it and sell them and become a bazillionair. OR...not. Lol
