Quoting L☮J:" DH was 100% pro circ before I showed him all the facts, a few videos, and told him his son would be robbed ... [snip!] ... pierced til she can ask and care for them. My son was born perfect, intact. Why mess with that? Oh, and I met him online lmao."

I'm afraid to start dating anyone pro-circing, just in case I get attached and and he won't change his mind. I'm currently attempting online dating and having no luck.

Both our sons are, but I'll tell you, it was a very hard decision for us this time and we put a lot of faith in our doctor.

My four year old had hypospadius, which is a condition that affects the placement of the urethra. He was unable to be circumcised in the hospital as an infant, and had to have his done under anesthesia by a pediatric urologist when he was eighteen months old. A toddler waking up from surgery is scary. Very scary. He had complications healing, and we both were distraught by the after effects of it, and vowed that if any future sons had that condition, we wouldn't do it again.

That being said, we were very apprehensive about it this time. We took a long time to decide and our doctor was very up front with us and gave us both her opinion as a mom and as a doctor. Beckham has a very small wee wee, and there was a chance that he may have to have it done again later. I had such bad anxiety about it that after they took him to do it, I wanted to go find him and stop them.

Everything turned out fine, the doctor said it went perfectly, and she brought him back sleeping peacefully.

After working in a urology clinic I became strongly pro-circ whereas I never held much of an opinion one way or the other. And my fiance mostly defers to my parenting decisions. He's circ'd though so he had a preference that it be done even if I wouldn't have. And I met mine in his store, and I'd technically known him since I was a year ild, but there was probably a 20-year gap between knowing each other as toddlers and becoming reacquainted as adults.

Who not Gomco? I'm against Plastibell, it has the highest complication rate and likelihood of being uneven, bleeding, and scarring. Gomco is my preferred followed by Mogan. And I can actually tell by looking at a p***s if they've had Gomco or not. How's that for a fun party game?! LOL

LOL We will only do the plastibell for the lower risks we were told and since it deadends the foreskin where as the gomco is just cutting. Our pediatrician with Mitch only did the plastibell because she said it was the safest out of that and the gomco. Both of my boys look fine I think, though, I haven't ever looked to see how even it is. Looks were the last thing on our pro and con list lol. I never had bleeding, and Adrien actually slept through his. They were flawless. IDK what the Mogan is though.

We get a lot of newborns in to urgent care because their Plastibell circ is bleeding or the ring popped off too soon, or they swelled too much and it's smashing into it. And working for a urology clinic for awhile, the ring kind ended up needing to be redone versus the clamp methods. They typically did Gomco because it's a "bloodless" method and easier to get an even result. I watched RJ's circ (Mogan) be done and there was no crying, fussing, nothing, so I doubt he was having any pain from it. Same with Brighton's (Gomco).
