If she wants to make them, I've heard good things about Babyville (I know several people IRL that have made them). I saw they have a double-gusset pocket diaper pattern now too. Granted, I've found no use whatsoever for DG style in diapers, but some people love them.

You made a knit-pon? I made a crochet one to try. Didn't work out so well. It wasn't anywhere near absorbent enough and I'm not a heavy bleeder at all.
