For the past couple of days every morning my hands are swollen when I get up. It goes away so I'm not super worried but they hurt like no over until the swelling goes down(which is normally a couple of hours). This morning my feet decided to get in on the action too and I'm not a fan! Haha
Why do they do this? Anyway to make it hurt less until the swelling goes down?
My feet don't do it but sometimes my hands do.It's weird...and I'm not pregnant either.

mine do it when I'm not pregnant and when I am pregnant. I can't wear rings during night b/c of it

It's so annoying, mainly because it hurts! Haha. I just wish it would go away and stay away!
My hands will swell up because I sleep with my arms under my pillow and end up restricting blood flow to them. Could be the position you are sleeping in; like arms over your head or under your body.
My hands are swollen in the morning too. Im also 38 weeks preggers and have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel in my right hand. Its the most annoying thing ever. I can't grip anything, there is like no strength left in my hands. They go numb and tingly and I wear a brace at night now.
My hands fall asleep a lot at night and are allllllwayyyyyssss super swollen in the mornings.
My hands do it too and I have noticed it happens only when I am too warm, whether after being under the covers all night or I get too hot shopping or at work! Once I cool down, it's back to normal!
Glad to know Not the only one! But man does it suck!
I thought maybe the house was too hot at night but I cracked the window in our room because the kids rooms already get cold at night. But they were worse this morning than yesterday morning. I'm just going to hope this goes away once baby is here haha!
Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and stay away from salt!! Staying hydrated (and soda and juice are no good either they have a lot of sugar) will help with keeping the water retention and swelling down. Salt will cause you to retain water and it will dehydrate you. Also, sitting alot will cause swelling in the lower half of your body... if you sit alot try to walk around for at least 5 minutes every hour!! Good luck!!
am 19 weeks along and my ankles have been swelling since the day before I got the positive test. Hahahaha, sooo me thinks it is just water retention at it best and there probably isn't too much you can do. But I don't know.
I am 35 weeks and have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome as well. I have a wrist splint to wear at night on my right hand. My right fingertips stay numb all day long. It's horrible. My fingers were really swollen this morning. I can't grip anything, make a fist and it hurts to write with a pen. I am hoping it goes away when she is born but my Dr said if it doesn't i will have to have the carpul tunnel surgery :( I just want it to go away now
