My one month old son has one eye bigger than the other. I took him to the doctor and he looked at it and said it needs to be seen by an ophthamologist. We could not get the appointment till Wednesday. The actual colored part is bigger than the other eye and he has had discharge in that eye since birth that the pediatrician gave me drops for it athis week checkup. He said it might be infant glaucoma and that they will do that test where they puff air in your eye. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this trouble? Or has anyone had to have that test done on their baby how did they do it? Thanks
I know this is probably a rare thing but I thought maybe somebody on here has experienced this.
im sorry i dont but i just wanted to let you know that i read it and was sorry i couldnt help.
however i did find this in case he has it
Thanks sounds like surgery is the only way to fix the glaucoma. I hope he does not have glaucoma but I have been goggling for several hours now and I can't find anything else it could be. Now I am really worried.
i dont have an answer for you but i thought i'd bump this up for you.....someone has to know something. good luck hun.
I know this was long ago, and I hope everything has gone well for you and yours. In case someone else is trying to look this up, other things to consider and research, besides glaucoma, might be Horners syndrome, a sympathetic nerve problem, or the possibility of a thyroid problem.
