I wants to drink the wine!!!
I'm taking Percocet post surgery. I haven't had one since about 2 pm and it's almost 10:30 pm. I'm sure I'll take one around 12. They are only 5 mg.
Think it'll be okay for me to have a glass of wine? I pretty much never take pain medication but since this thing with my leg I've been on it for four weeks now
You should be fine. Everything in moderation. You might feel the effects of the alcohol slightly quicker.
Take them together for extra awesomeness. But really, you're not supposed to.
You're not supposed to, but trust me I've taken percocet & drank wayyyy more than just wine, lol. I'm still here. :p
Quoting Chuck Bass:" I wants to drink the wine!!! I'm taking Percocet post surgery. I haven't had one since about 2 pm and ... [snip!] ... a glass of wine? I pretty much never take pain medication but since this thing with my leg I've been on it for four weeks now"
I think you will be okay. I am on long-term pain management and I would never be able to drink if I couldn't mix them. Are you supposed to mix them? No. But can you? If you drink responsibly, yes. A glass of wine won't hurt you, but you WILL feel it a lot more. You will feel a lot more drunk and your tolerance will be a lot lower. I can drink a beer/glass of wine with my vicodin and be pretty much okay. With my percocet and beer I can be so so... with wine I can feel pretty damn slammed if I don't take it easy. Make sure you have food in your tummy, and have nothing to do. Make sure the kids are asleep. It sure hits me hard. I rarely ever drink because of my meds, but like I said, I'm on long term pain management and I like to enjoy a drink now and then. You just have to watch your tolerance because it WILL hit you a lot harder.
The fact that your taking them for pain and not recreationaly(sp?) ONE glass of wine almost an hour before you take them you should be just fine. You might feel the alcohol a bit more like another poster said though.
Thanks everyone. I figured it would probably be okay. I love me some wine :) I hvent been able to do ANYthing fun in weeks. I can't walk, I can't have sex, I can't drink... That's all I can think of that would be fun right now lol. But it sucks!
