How long ago was your LO circumcised? Because just recently circumcision has become a cosmetic procedure and a ton of insurance providers aren't covering it, including Medicaid.

It varies state to state, hospital to hospital, plan to plan.
but I don't see why it's covered at all seeing as there's no medical justification. *shrug*

depends. Most of the time its an elective procedure, so some insurances won't cover it.

Medical covers it most likely, but not all of it. You still have a co-pay with it sometimes, depending on how much the hospital/doctor charges.

If he is covered on medicaid, they should do it.

At least that's how it is in Oklahoma. My friend didn't pay anything out of pocket for her son's circumcision.

Its not covered here. And its $400. Most insurances here don't cover it because its not considered medically vital

I know here they don't pay for it. It's just a cosmetic surgery, they really shouldn't pay for it.

it covered my son's too.
Maybe it was just an insurance error?... OR it could vary plan to plan as well.
