Elevated blood pressure with protein in the urine....it is very dangerous and the only way to get rid of it is to not be pregnant anymore.

So thats the only way to explaine it? I just thought there was more to it. What causes it? Can me being so stressed be the reason im getting it?!? Oh i hope not! And what causes the protiene in the urin?

A deadly disease caused by elevated blood pressure and protien in the urine. It's only cure is delivery. It also causes migraines, seeing spots, pain around the kidneys and liver, extreme swelling in the face and hands and feeling flush. I have had it for 3 pregnancies in a row now, you will get more doctor visits and ultrasounds, plus you will probably get 2 NST's per week when you are closer to your due date. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me.

Stressing does not help it, and the pre-e itself causes the protien.

No problem, it's very tricky and hard to understand, even for the doctors.

its high bp, protein in urine, swelling and they dont know exactly what causes it. the only cure for it is to deliver the baby. it can cause alot of damage if they dont catch it in time, when they started inducing me my kidneys started to fail because of it.

Wow i just hit 34 weeks today :( I cant believe its taken two months for your BP to get back to normal!
Did you have to be on medication or did they just tell you to take it easy?

they put me on meds, but i stopped taking them because they made me feel crappy and i just monitored my bp at home to make sure it didnt get way too high, then about 2 weeks ago i went to check it like i always do and it was normal! i was so happy i cried lol.

My blood pressure actually took 7 months on medication after delivery to go back to normal. It had been slowly rising throughout my pregnancy, but didn't actually get dangerously high until after I gave birth. I think my blood pressure was 175/102 the night before my doctor started me on medication.

You should pick up one of those little blood pressure monitors for home so you can keep an eye on it yourself. I still check mine periodically.
