I think these are the ideas I'm going to bring to the IEP next week. Some of them we are working on in either ABA or what's already on his IFSP. I'm not even sure what expectations to have for this setting, though. It's a mix of three to five-year-olds, some SN and many typical kids. I know there is a speech therapist but I don't think he'll get any special OT time which is why I left off some dressing goals and writing goals and things like that. I don't want to go to the meeting with no ideas. Is this a good start?
recognize own name (printed)
make eye contact
gain attention in a socially appropriate manner
use polite phrases (please, thank you)
indicate first name
distinguish someone else's property from own
answer "wh" questions
I'm trying to remember from ours... I know Jamil has 12 goals, I'm trying to remember the categories for goals,
Usually it includes
The ones I can remember
Follow instructions in a group with 2 reminders
I'm way to tired, I'll be back in the am
In EI, Connor had goals like:
Is able to two words together
express wants and needs by starting off with saying "need" and "want"
Can take off his pants
Is able to focus and sit down for 5 minutes
I think I am going to make a few goals and bring them with me when we make his IEP plan as I am pretty sure he will be getting services we just have to wait till Feb now. Almost there! =)
I saw a few more that I liked and thought would be appropriate. I didn't know how many I should expect to have. Maybe I will write down a bunch more, better to have too many than not enough!
