This halfway stems off another post.
Do you trust your child(ren)'s father to take care of them without your "supervision"? Do you think they do a better or worse job than you do?
And do you consider your SO/BD caring for your child as "babysitting"?
I trust him, bottom line... But I'm still uneasy about some things.
I trust him with everything. He's amazing with our son, Our son's a part of him. He watches him while I'm at school for 5 hours a night. And no, I pay a babysitter.
i dont even trust him to change his diaper correctly
but i am overly paranoid of people watching my son either way except my mom
he wouldnt know what to do i worked for about a month a couple hours a day and my son would be starving by the time i got home so i quit my job his dad wasnt cutting it for me
yes I trust him w/ my child unsupervised. I'd say he does the same as me... maybe a little worse idk. I AM the best, after all  & nope not babysitting.
No. and we are together

yes, he can be flighty but he is a great dad. he is with our son completely alone 2 days a week and it doesnt make me uneasy.
Define "better or worse job?" I spent 4 hours cleaning yesterday, then took a shower, read for 20 minutes, and then asked if I could go take a nap because I was beat. I woke up an hour later and he and Syrus had torn all Syrus's toys out and had them EVERY WHERE . So no, I don't trust him to watch him in my just cleaned house, but any where else I don't worry about it. Heck, I beg him to take Syrus out of the house just so I can get a break because I'm so tired lately.
I absolutely DESPISE it when people say they are "babysitting" their own children. I have a friend who will say "Oh, karl is babysitting so I can shop."
Um, no. Karl is being a f**king father. That's what Karl is doing.
Yes, I trust my husband 100% with all 3 of my boys. I don't think he does a better or worse job than me... we just do things differently.
One thing I do think about, is if I die... I don't think the bed sheets would ever get changed...lol. There are some household things that I wonder about... But as far as feeding kids, taking care of them if they're sick, dressing them, bathing them, putting them to bed, playing with them, teaching them, etc... He's totally competent.
I trust DH with the girls implicitly and at all stages. He doesn't do things better or worse than I do, just differently than I do.
And I don't call it babysitting either. lol
I trust him, but not 100% because he has fallen asleep around her and she ate pills and had to go to the hospital -_- I have been working to trust him again though.
I do better than him, he has a short fuse and he has a habit of treating her like an 8 yr old, she's only 2. He has zero patience. He's also not into playing with her the way i do, i play pretend and i don't mind her using me as a jungle gym. He likes to ignore her.
Hello no to question number 3. I don't even have to ask if i need to go somewhere, i just leave (well i tell him i'm leaving, but i don't ask him to babysit) This is our child together. He is not a babysitter at all.
I do but i can't help but worry whenever I'm away. I think I do much better than he does. But then again I'm a natural, he's still learning.
Not babysitting, i just say he's on baby duty lol
